russia was planning massive airstrikes on Ukraine even before the explosion on the Crimean bridge of the russian-occupied peninsula

White House National Security Council spokesman John Kirby stated this in a comment to CNN.

"It likely was something they had been planning for quite some time. Now that's not to say that the explosion on the Crimea bridge might have accelerated some of their planning," noted Kirby.

A spokesman for the National Security Council believes that missile attacks of this scale could not have been planned in a few days.

However, Kirby was unable to say whether putin had finally shifted from a strategy of losing a war on the battlefield to a campaign of undermining civilian morale and the strategy of causing devastating damage to Ukrainian cities and infrastructure.

To recap, US President Joe Biden, in a conversation with President Volodymyr Zelensky, promised to provide Ukraine with advanced air defense systems.

We will remind you that yesterday, October 10, russia launched missile strikes on 14 regions of Ukraine, in particular, in Dnipropetrovsk, Lviv, Ternopil, Khmelnytskyi, Zhytomyr, Sumy, Kharkiv, Odesa regions.
