At least 17 killed in missile attack on Zaporizhzhia
At least 17 people have been killed in a Russian missile attack on Zaporizhzhia overnight.
Anatolii Kurtiev, acting mayor of Zaporizhzhia, said this in a Telegram post.
"Last night's rocket attack on Zaporizhzhia damaged apartment buildings and streets of the private households sector of the city. According to initial reports, five private buildings were destroyed and about 40 damaged. At this time, 17 people are known to have died. My condolences to loved ones," Kurtiev wrote.
According to him, rescuers have already allowed utility services to eliminate the consequences of the strikes.
Earlier reports said that Russian invaders hit Zaporizhzhia with ten missiles in the early hours of Sunday.
