The Embassy of Japan in Ukraine has officially announced the start of its work in the Ukrainian capital.

On Wednesday, October 5, the Embassy of Japan in Ukraine officially resumed work in Kyiv.
Japan will continue to strengthen cooperation between Ukraine and Japan and assist in the recovery and reconstruction of Ukraine. Japan is together with Ukraine!" the message emphasized.
It was reported that Japan would resume the work of its embassy in Kyiv on October 5. The diplomatic mission has not worked since March.
As previously reported, Japan has extended the term of its program to provide financial assistance to people who were forced to evacuate Ukraine due to russian aggression. This program was introduced due to russia's invasion of Ukraine, which continues to this day.
In March, the government began providing evacuees from Ukraine aged 12 and older with ¥2,400, or about $17, a day for living expenses, it said. Now the program has been extended for another six months.
As Rubryka reported, Japan is interested in talks on security guarantees for Ukraine. Ukraine's Chief-of-Staff Andii Yermak noted that Japan's support is essential and valuable for Ukraine in the fight against the russian aggressor because the Ukrainian and Japanese peoples share the courage and willingness to fight for their land.
He recalled the words of Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, who expressed strong support for Ukraine during the G7 leaders' meeting.
Yermak, who oversees negotiations on security guarantees for our country, noted that there were signals from Japan about interest in joining the negotiation process. "We would be happy if Japan were among those countries that would become guarantors of our future security," he said.
