British intelligence noted that it's likely that Ukraine can now strike the key Svatove-Kreminna road with most of its artillery systems. It will further complicate russia's ability to resupply its units in the east.
Politically, russian leaders are likely to be concerned that leading Ukrainian units are now approaching the borders of the Luhansk region, which russia has "officially" annexed.
Successes of Ukrainian defenders
According to Ukraine's General Staff, on October 3, the Ukrainian forces attacked the enemy's pontoon and ferry crossings across the Dnipro River in the Kherson region. The total losses of the enemy are being clarified.
The headquarters also confirmed the destruction of the S-300 anti-aircraft missile system near the city of Tokmak and the strike on the russian positions in the areas of the settlements of Huliaipole and Orihiv of the Zaporizhzhia region.
Ukraine's air force carried out 17 strikes in the last 24 hours. It was confirmed that russia's four strongholds, 11 areas of concentration of weapons and military equipment, and two anti-aircraft missile systems were struck.
In addition, Ukrainian air defense units shot down one helicopter and two enemy drones in different directions.
Missile troops and artillery hit russia's two control points, four areas of concentration of troops, weapons, and military equipment, one anti-aircraft missile complex, and a bridge and pontoon crossing.
