putin signs decrees on "annexation" of occupied Ukrainian regions

On September 30, russian dictator vladimir putin signed decrees on the "accession" of the partially occupied Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, Donetsk, and occupied Luhansk regions of Ukraine to the russian federation.

The signing took place in the Kremlin with Moscow-controlled heads of occupation administrations.

During the speech, putin said that he was signing decrees on the acceptance of the illegal armed groups "DNR," "LNR," Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson regions "into russia." He repeated his usual theses about the discrimination against the russian language in Ukraine and the alleged "expression of will" of the residents of the occupied territories.

In a speech, the russian president also said that the United States "set a precedent" by using nuclear weapons against Japan during World War II.

During his speech, the russian president also stated that russia is ready for peace negotiations with Ukraine. Still, their subject will not be the "joining" of the previously captured territories to the russian federation.

"We call on the Kyiv regime to immediately stop the war, all hostilities, the war it unleashed back in 2014, and return to the negotiating table. We are ready for this. This has been said more than once. But we will not discuss the people's choices in Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson. It is done. russia will not betray it," putin said.

According to the leader of the aggressor state, the authorities of Ukraine should treat this "expression of will" with respect, "only this can be the way to peace."

putin also said that russia would defend its land "with all the forces and means available to us."

Reference

On September 23-27, russia staged a show called a "referendum" on the occupied territory of Luhansk, Donetsk, Kherson, and Zaporizhzhia regions regarding the accession of these territories to russia.

Leaders of Western countries have already declared that any russian fictitious "referendums" in Ukraine will be illegitimate.
