Ukraine continues work on prisoners exchange
The head of the Chief Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense, Kyrylo Budanov, assures that work on the exchange of prisoners is currently underway.
The Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War reported this on Telegram.
According to the CDI report, Budanov met with representatives of the families of Ukrainian defenders.
"The head of the CDI met with representatives of Ukrainian war prisoners' families. Kyrylo Budanov emphasized that Ukraine continues to work on prisoner exchanges; this work never stops. In particular, negotiations on the exchange of "all for all" are ongoing. Work is also underway on individual exchanges. This is a long and exhausting process. For example, the exchange on September 21, during which 215 defenders were released, was prepared for over two months," the message says.
At the same time, the representative of the Main Directorate of Intelligence, Andriy Yusov, stated at a briefing in the media center Ukraine – Ukrinform that russia currently rejects Ukraine's "all for all" exchange proposals.
Instead, Yusov said that since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, more than 20 exchanges have already taken place, as part of which about 800 Ukrainian defenders have already been returned.
"But a lot remains in captivity. The coordination headquarters is currently working on this," he assured.
