No information that China plans to support russia in war against Ukraine — US State Department
The State Department of the United States stated that they do not see any signs that China intends to help the russian federation in the war with Ukraine
This is reported by CNN.
It was also noted there that there is also no confirmation that China is helping russia to circumvent sanctions.
"We are looking at every single bit of information we have," State Department spokesperson Ned Price said.
"We have seen nothing as of yet at least to indicate that the PRC is taking a different approach when it comes to security assistance, when it comes to efforts to systematically help russia evade sanctions," he stresses.
Price said that the US "continues to monitor" what China is doing concerning Ukraine. He said that the remarks of Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi indicate that China has "certain concerns about what russia is doing in Ukraine."
We will remind that US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken met with Wang Yi on Friday at the United Nations.
He "emphasized the consequences if the PRC supports moscow's invasion of a sovereign state," the State Department said in a statement following the meeting.
"He (Blinken – ed.) confirmed that the United States condemned russia's war against Ukraine and emphasized the consequences if the PRC supports moscow's invasion of a sovereign state," Blinken stressed.
