Zelensky appoints new ambassador to Germany
President Volodymyr Zelensky has appointed Oleksiy Makeyev as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Federal Republic of Germany.
Тhe relevant decree, No.662/2022, was published on the president's website.
"To appoint Oleksiy Serhiyovych Makeyev Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Federal Republic of Germany," the document reads.
President Zelensky also appointed Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Korea Dmytro Ponomarenko as Ambassador of Ukraine to Mongolia, according to Decree No.663/2022.
As reported, in July 2022, President Zelensky dismissed Andriy Melnyk from the post of Ambassador of Ukraine to the Federal Republic of Germany, which he had held since 2014.
