The trailer was shown on September 13, the day of the city of Bucha.
The upcoming film's producer is Oleksandr Shchur, and the director is Stanislav Tiunov.
The film's plot will be devoted to the actual events that took place in the cities of Bucha, Vorzel, Hostomel, and Irpin during the russian occupation in February-April 2022.
The film will also tell the story of the rescue of 203 residents by Kostiantyn Hudauskas.
He is a citizen of Kazakhstan and received political asylum in Ukraine. He currently lives in Bucha.
Using his Kazakh passport, he had the opportunity to drive through the territory occupied by the russians and take out civilians. And he also witnessed the crimes of the russian army.
The film will also include the scene of the rescue of the famous Ukrainian composer Ihor Poklad. He was in his house in Vorzel at that time.
"After it became known in April what was happening in Bucha and other cities of Ukraine that were occupied, it became clear that the whole world should learn about the tragedy of the Ukrainian people.
We believe that the implementation of this project will help Ukraine to attract the attention of the international community and will encourage to increase economic and military aid in the future," says Oleksandr Shchur.
Filming of the movie BUCHA is planned for December-January, and the premiere will take place on the anniversary of the tragedy.
The casting of actors is currently underway.
However, the role of the main antagonist of the film should be played by the Ukrainian actor Viacheslav Dovzhenko, who previously received the "Golden Dzyga" award for the best male role.
Filming will take place at the expense of foreign investors.
At the same time, fundraising will not be held in Ukraine due to the active involvement of Ukrainians in fundraising for the needs of the Ukrainian forces.
