Denmark offered Ukraine to train the Ukrainian military on its territory

Defense Minister Morten Bødskov stated this during a visit to Kyiv, Digi24 reports.

"The training will take place in Denmark. I cannot go into details, but the training of Ukrainian service members will take place in Denmark,"  Bødskov emphasized.

In August, it became known that Denmark would send 130 instructors to Great Britain in the fall to train Ukrainian soldiers.

The Ukrainian military training program on British territory was offered to Volodymyr Zelensky by the UK's Prime Minister Boris Johnson during his June visit to Kyiv.

Then the British prime minister specified that the military of the United Kingdom could provide training for up to 10,000 Ukrainian servicemen every 120 days.

At the same time, it became known from the Minister of Defense of Denmark that he proposed to Ukraine that soldiers could also train on Danish soil.

The training organization on Danish soil shows the increased involvement of the Scandinavian country, a member of the European Union and NATO.

The minister didn't rule out that the military could arrive in Denmark before the end of the year.

"Denmark is one of the countries where training will take place, and other European countries have also started training," he said.

The minister added that Denmark has "many years of experience preparing the Ukrainian defense." This was the case, for example, in Ukraine from 2015 until russia's invasion on February 24.

The Danish defense minister arrived in Kyiv with his Estonian colleague Hanno Pevkur. They met with Ukraine's Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov and President Volodymyr Zelensky.

During the visit, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky thanked the government of Denmark for political, financial, and armed support during the war.
