Zelensky revealed condition for easing sanctions against russia
The conversation about easing the sanctions against russia can be started only when the russian army leaves the territory of Ukraine.
RBC-Ukraine reported it with reference to the CNN interview of the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky.
"You can't lift sanctions, you can't negotiate with russia, you can't conduct substantive dialogue with russia until they leave our territory," he said.
In Zelensky's opinion, this is the starting point for a dialogue on easing or lifting sanctions, reparations, etc.
"Everything after that — you can talk about sanctions policy, about the lifting of certain sanctions, about reparations, reimbursement of money, about diplomacy, about dialogue. All this can be done at the level of the presidents of all states, any institutions, and with anyone from the russian federation if they leave our territories. This is the point from which a new history begins," the Ukrainian leader believes.
Zelensky added that Ukraine has no way out, and this is not its weakness but its strength; the russian federation, unlike Ukraine, has a choice.
"russia has a way out – to go home. We only have this home; where do we go? We have nowhere to go. The question is not how long this (war, ed.) will be, but how much more is needed," added the president, clarifying, answering the journalist's question, that Ukraine will fight to the end.
