To date, Ukrainian "grain has been exported to three continents" – Africa, Asia, and Europe

It was announced by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, in a video message.

"The implementation of the grain export initiative, which is an essential tool for our economy and all partners of our state, continues.

Ukrainian food was exported to three continents — Africa, Asia, and Europe.

If in detail, then

  • 54 ships have already been sent to Asia,
  • 16 ships have already been sent to Africa,
  • 32 ships – to Europe,
  • and a part of this volume, by the way, is again sent to Asian and African countries.

Today in russia, another blatantly false statement was made that the absolute majority of Ukrainian grain is allegedly exported to European countries.

Well, truth has not been heard at the official level in russia for a long time, and this does not surprise anyone," Zelensky emphasized.

"Unlike russia, we do not make a racist division of the world into those who deserve security and those who supposedly do not deserve it, those who deserve to live without hunger and those who supposedly do not deserve it.

We support all people, all countries. And those who help us, and those who refrain from helping us.

And those that are more stable and those that are less stable. I emphasize again that Ukraine was, is, and will be the guarantor of world food security," the president stressed.

Zelensky clarified that at least 3 million tons of agricultural products could be exported from Ukrainian ports by the end of September.

A significant part of these exports will be directed to the poorest countries.

"Perhaps, russia is not satisfied with this, and it does not want to notice it. However, the world needs exactly this. It is necessary to save countries on different continents from chaos; it is necessary to save people from hunger," Zelensky added.

As Rubryka reported, the export of grain became possible thanks to the agreements reached in Istanbul with the mediation of Turkey and the UN.

The agreement provides for the unblocking of three Ukrainian ports — "Odesa," "Chornomorsk," and "Pivdenny" — for the export of grain and food. Control over the ports remains with the Ukrainian side.

In Turkey, the Joint Coordination Center inspects ships going to and from Ukraine.

The first ship with Ukrainian grain after February 24 left Odesa port on August 1.
