Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that the West is pursuing a "policy based on provocations" toward russia.

He stated this at a press conference with his Serbian colleague Aleksandar Vučić in Belgrade, Anadolu reports.

"I can clearly say that I do not find the attitude of the West [towards russia] right. Because there is a West that follows a policy based on provocation," Erdogan said.

Hurriyet reports that the Turkish president also said that the West is sending Ukraine "scrap," not weapons.

He added that the war would not end "anytime soon," adding: "I say to those who underestimate russia, you are doing it wrong. russia is not a country that can be underestimated."

The President of Turkey also stated that Ankara pursues a balanced policy towards the russian federation and Ukraine aimed at solving the crisis.

He stated that neither the russian federation nor Ukraine was the winner in this war, but there were many losers.

"The russian federation has cut off natural gas, and prices have risen in Europe. Everyone is thinking about it. Why didn't they think about it earlier?" said the president.

Earlier, Rubryka reported that President Erdogan wants to organize a meeting between Zelensky and putin. He called the organization of a meeting between the presidents of Ukraine and russia, Volodymyr Zelensky and vladimir putin, a goal of Ankara.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said at a press conference following his visit to Ukraine that Turkey is ready to provide all the necessary support to resume negotiations on ending the war, particularly in Istanbul.
