The russians are lying, manipulating, and distorting the real state of affairs at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant and spreading only information beneficial to them about the visit of the International Atomic Energy Agency mission.

The statement of the Energoatom energy company that manages all Ukrainian nuclear plants said this on Telegram.

"The russian occupiers are making every effort to prevent the mission of the International Atomic Energy Agency from getting to know the real state of affairs at the Zaporizhia NPP. They are spreading manipulative and false information about this visit," the company said.

This, the vast majority of "media from around the world" who came to the NPP yesterday are russian propagandists. Buses with Ukrainian and foreign journalists who tried to get to the station with the IAEA mission through Ukraine's territory weren't allowed by the russians at the checkpoint.

The invaders "lie, distort the facts and evidence, which testify to their shelling the plant, and the consequences of them damaging the infrastructure of the ZNPP. Predictably, they blame the Ukrainian forces," Energoatom emphasizes.

The russians presented the military trucks, which were in the engine rooms of the power units in violation of all fire safety requirements, to the IAEA experts as equipment for the chemical defense forces. They try to hide all the nuclear and radiation safety violations created by them in lies and manipulations, Energoatom claims.

Also, the mission was not allowed into the crisis center of the ZNPP, where russian military personnel is currently stationed. It was not supposed to be seen by the IAEA representatives. Some armed russians were "hidden" at the nuclear plant.

As Energoatom emphasized, the missions "presented" a pre-planned and staged show, as if residents of Enerhodar "complain about the shelling of the Ukrainian forces," or more precisely, tell about the shelling, which the invaders persistently attribute to Ukrainian defenders.

The russians deliberately jammed mobile communications and the Internet in Enerhodar to prevent the transmission of photos and videos from the ZNPP and its satellite city.

The russians allowed only operative personnel to work at the Zaporizhia NPP and significantly limited the presence of people on the routes of the IAEA delegation members.

"We understand that under these conditions, it will be difficult for the IAEA to assess the situation at the ZNPP objectively. Instead, we emphasize that it is impossible to implement all the nuclear and radiation safety recommendations at the plant while it is under the control of the russian occupation forces," Energoatom stressed.
