Ukrainians run for 100,000 body armor vests for Ukrainian army
The Lviv Defense Cluster, Run Ukraine, and the ProBig running club initiated an international charity online run to raise funds for body armor.
What is the problem? The need for body armor remains. Hundreds of soldiers, medics, emergency services workers, and police officers need bulletproof vests for their daily work.
What is the solution? To provide 100,000 body armor vests for the Ukrainian army, the Lviv Defense Cluster, Run Ukraine, and the ProBig running club initiated an international charity online, "Run to 100,000 body armor vests," to raise funds for the purchase of body armor.
More details: "Run to 100,000 body armor vests" will last until September 19. It will be held online, so anyone who wants to join from any corner of Ukraine or the world can join. The participant himself chooses the location, time, and comfortable distance.
"100% of the funds from the registration fee will be directed to the production of body armor for our defenders. The purpose of the project is important. And it is close to my heart because my husband, until February 24, was an Olympian professional athlete. Since February 25, he's been a volunteer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and has been on the front line for four months. He and his brothers are protected by body armor from the Lviv Defense Cluster," says Orysia Demianiuk, the founder and head coach of the PROBIG running club.
As a reward, each participant of the international "Run to 100,000 body armor vests" will receive a unique commemorative medal made of armor steel from the remains after cutting the sheet into plates, which are the basis of the protective element of body armor of the Ukrainian military.
The registration fee is 890 hryvnias, and participants can pay a larger amount if they wish. You can register for the Run on the website: https://do100.com.ua/
