The EU allocated €10 million for Ukrainian education and health care
The European Union allocated 10 million euros to support Ukrainian schoolchildren and students, and also announced support for patients from Ukraine.
According to the correspondent of Ukrinform, this was announced by the Vice President of the European Commission, Margaritis Schinas, during a briefing held at the National Museum of the History of Ukraine in the Second World War.
"Currently, there are about half a million Ukrainian schoolchildren and students in EU countries. At the same time, millions of representatives of apprenticeships and students are starting a new school year in Ukraine today. We will make every possible effort to provide support and assistance to this category of the population both in the EU and in Ukraine. We have determined an amount of 10 million euros specifically to help the education system in Ukraine," he said.
Schinas added that Europe will also "provide absolutely all necessary support in medical evacuation, as well as provide for the needs of Ukrainian patients staying in EU countries."
