In the temporarily occupied Mariupol, the invaders plan to destroy the mound of Did, which is one of the leading archaeological monuments of the city

Rubryka reports, referring to the Telegram of Mariupol mayor's adviser, Petro Andriushchenko.

As he noted, this sprawling hill has a height of 6.6 meters, and its diameter reaches 70 meters.

The mound of Did dates back to the 5th millennium BC.

"The russians are planning to build on the mound that will destroy it. This is another crime against humanity on the part of russia. This is how the history of Ukraine is being destroyed. This is how the history of the world is being destroyed," the mayor's advisor emphasized.

Also, in Mariupol, the invaders are "reconstructing" the destroyed Drama Theater to hide their crime, Andriushchenko said.

The situation in Mariupol

We will remind you that Mariupol has been under the blockade of Russian troops since March 1, 2022.

The houses of at least 84,000 residents were utterly destroyed in the city. It is impossible to carry out an exact count of the dead. According to preliminary estimates, up to 22 thousand residents died in Mariupol.

The mayor of Mariupol, Vadym Boichenko, reported that there are four "filtration centers" in the city and nearby settlements, where more than 10,000 people are detained.

According to him, civil servants and municipal workers who the invaders are torturing are being held captive.

Ukrainian authorities are urging people to leave Mariupol if possible, as there are infrastructure, medical and security problems in the occupied city.
