Finland to provide additional defense assistance to Ukraine
Finland has decided to provide Ukraine with a new package of defense aid
It was announced by the Minister of Defense of Finland, Antti Kaikkonen, EP reports.
"Ukraine's defensive fight continues; the need for aid remains high. We are sending a new package of defense materials," the minister said in a statement published on the Ministry of Defense of Finland website.
This is already the eighth batch of military aid from Finland to Ukraine.
The statement does not describe the equipment or the terms of its delivery for security reasons. At the same time, a representative of the Ministry of Defense clarified that the new defense assistance package would have a total cost of 8.3 million euros, Reuters reports.
As a result, the total cost of Finland's defense assistance to Ukraine since the beginning of the russian invasion will amount to 92.3 million euros.
