Denmark's foreign minister visits Kyiv
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Denmark, Jeppe Kofod, arrived today, September 1, on a working visit to the capital of Ukraine
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Denmark, Jeppe Kofod, reported this on Twitter.
"Happy to be back in beautiful Kyiv to underline Denmark's unwavering support to the Ukrainian people.
We have provided more than €400 million in military support, and more will come. We are in this for the long haul. Slava Ukraini!" Kofod wrote in the message.
The Danish foreign minister hopes that the European Union will make a joint decision to ban the issuance of tourist visas to russians.
"If it cannot be done with a joint solution, from the Danish side we will look at the possibility of introducing restrictions that will reduce the number of russian tourist visas further," Jeppe Kofod said.
According to him, if there is no success in introducing joint EU rules, the government is ready to revise the Danish rules.
"I consider it very shameful that russian tourists can sunbathe and live a luxurious life in the south of Europe while Ukrainian cities are bombed beyond recognition," the minister emphasized.
We should note that Britain and Denmark announced an increase in aid to Ukraine in the form of money and weapons at the international donor conference in Copenhagen.
