Ukraine and Poland will jointly develop pipeline project to transport vegetable oils

Ukraine and Poland will develop a pipeline construction project for transporting vegetable oil from Ukraine to the Polish port of Gdańsk

The Chancellory of the Prime Minister of Poland announced it, wnp.pl reports.

As noted by the Polish administration, both countries will create a working group presenting options for project localization.

According to the office, the government has agreed to conclude a memorandum of understanding on the preparation of this project.

"Implementation of the memorandum will contribute to the partial unblocking of Ukrainian exports and increasing food security in developing countries threatened by hunger.

And therefore, this should reduce the migratory pressure to Europe," the message emphasizes.

According to the report, Poland and Ukraine will seek to jointly develop a project to construct a cross-border pipeline for transporting vegetable oils with loading in Ukraine.

The port transshipment terminal will initially be located in the Port of Gdańsk.

"The working group will also provide information on approximate technical parameters, cost, and conditions of project implementation, particularly the proposed route of laying the pipeline," the Polish government added.

The memorandum is planned for three years with automatic extension for subsequent three-year periods.
