Sweden announced seventh package of military aid to Ukraine

Sweden's seventh military aid package to Ukraine will include ammunition worth SEK 500 million (US$46.75 million).

It was announced by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Sweden, Ann Linde, on Twitter.

The head of the Swedish Foreign Ministry also noted that this would not be the Swedish government's last package of military aid to Ukraine.

"This is not the last package. The Swedish Directorate of Military Support (FMV) and the Armed Forces will evaluate the possibility of providing Swedish Archer artillery installations, RBS70 portable anti-aircraft missile systems, and others. Sweden stands with Ukraine," she said.

As reported, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba, appealed to the Swedish government with a request to provide Ukraine with artillery shells, Archer self-propelled howitzers, and RBS70 air defense systems during a visit to Stockholm on August 29.
