Medical hub for Ukrainian patients will open in Poland

The opening of the medical hub will take place on September 1, 2022.

It is stated on the website of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.

  • What is the problem? Since the first day of russia's full-scale invasion of the territory of Ukraine, the Ministry of Health has been organizing evacuation flights to save the lives and health of wounded and seriously ill Ukrainians. However, unforeseen circumstances arise, for example, a flight is delayed or canceled, or it is necessary to transport many patients in groups.
  • What is the solution? The Ministry of Health of Ukraine, with Poland's Ministry of Health and representatives of the European Commission, will open a special medical hub in the Polish city of Rzeszów for Ukrainian patients who are being evacuated for specialized treatment to European clinics.
  • How does it work? The medical hub, located in the airport area, is a special facility with all the necessary conditions and personnel, where patients can safely rest or spend the night during transportation along the evacuation route in case of unforeseen circumstances.

The opening of the medical hub will take place on September 1, 2022.

We want to remind you that the Ministry has introduced an additional option to apply for medical evacuation. Seriously ill Ukrainians or those injured due to the war can independently submit a preliminary application for the Medical Evacuation Program.
