President of the russian federation putin signed a decree which provides for an increase in the number of russian armed forces by 137 thousand soldiers

As noted, the army's total strength of the aggressor country will increase from 1.9 million to 2.04 million units since 2023.

"To establish the full-time strength of the armed forces of the russian Federation in the amount of 2,039,758 units, including 1,150,628 soldiers," the decree states.

We will remind that the last time putin changed the size of his army was in November 2017.

As reported by Rubryka yesterday, the Minister of Defense of Russia, Serhiy Shoigu, acknowledged the slowing down of the invasion of Ukraine.

"During the special operation, we strictly adhere to humanitarian law norms. The strikes are carried out with high-precision weapons against the objects of the military infrastructure of the Armed Forces of Ukraine — control points, airfields, warehouses, fortified areas, and objects of the military-industrial complex.

At the same time, everything is being done to avoid casualties among civilians; of course, this slows down the pace of the offensive, but we are doing it deliberately," Shoigu said.

Vladimir Putin previously accused the US of "trying to prolong the war" in Ukraine.

Putin recently boasted that russian weapons are "years and decades ahead of foreign counterparts."
