Johnson congratulates Ukrainians on Independence Day
In the UK, Prime Minister Boris Johnson's office was decorated with sunflowers for Ukraine's Independence Day
Rubryka reports, referring to the Twitter of the British Ministry of Defense and the Twitter of UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
As noted, the orchestra of the Scots Guards performed Kalush Orchestra's "Stephania" in the center of London.
The message mentions that the building at 10 Downing Street, where Boris Johnson's office is located, was decorated with sunflowers and blue bouquets.
The office explained to the British audience that the sunflower has been grown in Ukrainian fields for several centuries and is one of the "national" flowers.
During the russian-Ukrainian war, it became a symbol of resistance and unity.
In a personal video message, Boris Johnson emphasized that Ukraine was reborn as an independent state in 1991, not the first time it became independent.
And that's why Ukrainians are again defending the right to determine their future in their own country.
"To the people of Ukraine on your Independence Day, I want you to know this: For however long it takes, the United Kingdom will stand with you," the prime minister stressed.

As Johnson emphasized, Britain provided the most extensive military aid to Ukraine among European countries, including about 7,000 anti-tank missiles.
They also opened the door for 100,000 Ukrainians who had to seek refuge abroad because of the war.
"I've never doubted for a moment that Ukraine is going to win this struggle because no force on earth can overcome the patriotism of 44 million Ukrainians," Johnson said.
"One day, Ukraine will come through this ordeal and achieve victory. And when that moment comes, as it will, we in the UK will be even prouder to be friends of Ukraine. Glory to Ukraine!" Johnson summed up.
