Over UAH $175M already raised through UNITED24 platform - Fedorov
Contributions from people from 110 countries through the UNITED24 platform exceeded the mark of $175 million in just more than three months of the platform's work.
Ukraine's Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov said this in an interview with Ukrinform.
"Through the platform, $175 million has been raised from all over the world, in total, from more than 110 countries. UNITED24 is focused on the whole world. We do joint projects with ambassadors who have joined us. For example, Andriy Shevchenko, Elina Svitolina, American actor Liev Schreiber or one of the most famous bands in the world, Imagine Dragons," he said.
The minister clarified that more than 60% of the funds collected through the platform are directed to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, part of it goes to medical assistance, and a certain share will be used for the reconstruction of the state.
In May, President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a decree on the initiative to create the United24 national brand to unite the efforts of international partners in support of Ukraine.
