Three G7 countries confirm their participation in Crimean Platform online summit

The leaders of Germany, Canada, and Japan from the G7 group confirmed their participation in the Crimean Platform online summit on August 23

As noted in the post, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida will join the virtual summit.

On August 23, a year after the first summit, the President of Ukraine initiated the second summit of the Crimean Platform.

It will be held online.

Not only active members of the Crimean Platform, of which there are 48 as of today, were invited to the summit.

The Crimean Platform is an international format created in 2021 that aims to achieve the de-occupation of Crimea.

The first summit of the Crimean Platform was held last year, also on August 23, in Kyiv.

It was attended by representatives of 47 states and international organizations, which approved a joint intergovernmental decision on how to act to stop the annexation and return of Crimea.
