The Verkhovna Rada calls on the UN, the EU, the European Council, the OSCE, the parliaments, and governments of the IAEA member countries to condemn the act of nuclear terrorism committed by russia at the Zaporizhzhia NPP.

It is stated in the relevant resolution, supported by 301 People's Deputies, Energoatom reported.

"The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted Resolution No. 7667 on an appeal to the UN, the EU, the European Council, the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, the parliaments and governments of the IAEA member states regarding the condemnation of the act of nuclear terrorism committed by the aggressor state at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant in the city Enerhodar", the message reads.

In the resolution, the Ukrainian parliamentarians called on the international community to apply sanctions against the entire russian nuclear industry, particularly the state corporation Rosatom, as well as the enterprises and organizations it comprises.

People's elected officials also call for introducing personal sanctions against the heads of Rosatom and those individuals responsible for the implementation of russia's policy against Ukraine.

People's deputies propose to the parliaments and governments of the International Atomic Energy Agency member states to address the IAEA General Conference with the demand to suspend russia's privileges and rights as a member of the IAEA and to deprive russia of the right to vote at the Board of Directors meetings of the IAEA and the opportunity to participate in various cooperation programs.

Earlier, the EU and 42 countries called on the russian federation to immediately withdraw troops from the Zaporizhia NPP.

It should be noted that the invaders shell the largest nuclear power plant in Europe almost every day.

As a result, Ukraine was forced to warn the world that the consequences of these russian crimes could be equivalent to using an atomic bomb.

The other day, the dangerous situation was discussed at the UN Security Council meeting.

The participants of the discussion concluded that the IAEA mission should gain access to the station. And the russian federation must withdraw its troops from the station and return it to the control of the rightful owner. russia refuses to do this.

Even Amnesty International saw the danger to the whole world from the actions of the Russian Federation. They said that russia is using the ZNPP as a military base that threatens civilians.
