Netherlands to join in training Ukrainian soldiers in Britain

Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksii Reznikov said that the Netherlands would join the training of the Ukrainian military in the UK

He announced this on Twitter.

"The Netherlands has joined the UK-led program of training servicemembers of the Ukrainian army. Dutch personnel will start their mission this August. The more well-trained fighters we have, the closer our victory," he wrote.

Reznikov also thanked his Dutch colleague Kajsa Ollongren for helping Ukraine.

We will remind you that the Ukrainian military training program on British territory was offered to Volodymyr Zelensky by Prime Minister of Great Britain Boris Johnson during his visit to Kyiv in June.

Then the British Prime Minister specified that the military of the United Kingdom could provide training for up to 10,000 Ukrainian service members every 120 days.

We should note that Boris Johnson, who temporarily remains the Prime Minister of Britain, attended training for the Ukrainian military and took part in the military exercises himself.

At the beginning of July, the first group of Ukrainian military personnel participating in an extensive military training program arrived in Great Britain.

The course includes programs on weapons handling, battlefield first aid, field survival, patrol tactics, and the legal foundations of armed conflict.

Norway's Defense Minister Bjørn Arild Gram also announced their instructors would go to the UK to train Ukrainian soldiers.

"The Ukrainian forces are in dire need of further training and education. Norway is optimistic about the British initiative to train Ukrainian soldiers in Great Britain. We will participate with instructors for this basic soldier training, like several other countries," says the defense minister.

Yesterday, Rubryka reported that Denmark was joining in training Ukrainians. The instructors will provide basic military training, including urban combat and tactical operations, to Ukrainian soldiers with zero to limited military experience, Defence Minister Morten Bodskov told the newspaper Jyllands-Posten.

Previously, Finland, Sweden, and Canada also announced their participation in the training of the Ukrainian military.
