Ukraine stated in OSCE there is evidence proving russia planned killing of prisoners in Olenivka

Ukraine has sufficient evidence that the mass killing of prisoners of war in occupied Olenivka was pre-planned by russia

According to Ukrinform, it was stated by the Permanent Representative of Ukraine to international organizations in Vienna, Yevhen Tsimbalyuk, during a special meeting of the Permanent Council of the OSCE.

The Ukrainian ambassador noted that satellite images show that only one building was damaged in the colony, where prisoners of war were transferred immediately before the attack.

In addition, the analysis of the photo indicates a thermobaric explosion from the inside, he added.

"There is enough evidence of what happened in Olenivka to believe that it was a pre-planned mass murder of those who were under the protection of international law," he said.

"Mass murder of Ukrainian prisoners of war in the penal colony in occupied Olenivka.

And also, the published videos, which demonstrate terrible cases of torture, physical violence, inhumane treatment, and deliberate killing of Ukrainian prisoners of war, clearly indicate that russia knows no boundaries in its cruelty and barbarism," Tsymbalyuk emphasized.

As the representative reported, there is no difference between russian diplomats calling for the shooting of Ukrainian prisoners of war and russian troops doing it in Olenivka.

"This gross and serious violation of international humanitarian law, including the Geneva Conventions, deserves not only our strong condemnation but also the use of all available mechanisms to bring to justice all those responsible for russia's war crimes. Regardless of how long it takes," the head of the Ukrainian mission to the OSCE emphasized.

He also added that the russian federation should not be allowed to use its puppets in ORDLO to circumvent international obligations and avoid criminal liability.
