russia has begun to implement a plan to connect the ZNPP to the russian power system and disconnect it from the Ukrainian one, said Petro Kotin, Energoatom president.

Kotin announced it on the air of the telethon, UP reports.

Kotin explained that the russians would try to disconnect the occupied regions of southern Ukraine from the Zaporizhzhia NPP and then connect the power grid from Crimea.

"Rosatom personnel transferred to the station a special program for reconnection of the ZNPP to Crimea. The premise of this program is damage to the ZNPP communication lines with the power system of Ukraine. To switch the ZNPP to Crimea, it must turn off the entire south of Ukraine — the occupied parts of the Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions. It is written in the program. After that, they start re-energizing the region from the substation in Dzhankoy, gradually reaching Kakhovka and then re-energizing the ZNPP. After that, it (ZNPP – ed.) will no longer be able to be connected to the Ukrainian power system, and it will remain on the russian frequency. It is their plan, and they have started implementing it," he said.

According to him, this plan implementation consists of three lines of the ZNPP damaged within three days, and it is currently working with a one-line supply.
