Zelensky, Michel discuss situation at Zaporizhzhia NPP: Russian nuclear terror requires response
In a phone call, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and President of the European Council Charles Michel discussed the situation on the battlefield, namely at Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (NPP).
The relevant statement was made by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Twitter.
"Talked with President of the European Council Charles Michel, told about the situation on the battlefield, in particular at the Zaporizhzhia NPP. Russian nuclear terror requires a stronger response from the international community – sanctions on the Russian nuclear industry and nuclear fuel," Zelensky wrote.
In addition, Zelensky and Michel positively assessed the start of grain exports by sea and coordinated preparations for the Crimea Platform Summit and other events.
The President of Ukraine also stressed the importance of unblocking the macro-financial assistance package for Ukraine as soon as possible.
A reminder that, in recent days, Russian troops have been actively opening fire on the site of Zaporizhzhia NPP and the city of Enerhodar. Enemy attacks are posing a serious threat to nuclear security.
