No official confirmation of Su-25 transfer from North Macedonia to Ukraine

Neither North Macedonia nor the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine provided information on the transfer of four Su-25 planes.

It was stated by the spokesman of the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Yuriy Ignat, Ukrinform reports.

"Any news about the arrival of military equipment inspires our people and the Armed Forces. We do not have confirmation from Macedonia's official sources or the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine about the transfer of these planes. It only appeared in the press," he said.

Ignat emphasized that currently, any help from European partners is vital, "for example, the transfer of spare parts, for example for the MiG-29, which was recently revealed," as well as ammunition.

"This is very necessary because, in the conditions of war, we do not have the opportunity to replenish stocks since the equipment we have in service is Soviet models manufactured in russia. This also applies to air defense systems and, in fact, all types of aviation equipment. Any kind of help from the government officials of European countries that have this equipment in service will be essential for us, in particular, in terms of ammunition," he explained.

As Rubryka reported earlier, North Macedonia was handing over Soviet T-72 tanks to Ukraine, which it had planned to decommission in the coming years.
