Poland plans to create Valley of Drones

Poland plans to create a Valley of Drones to accelerate innovation in this field for the benefit of Poland and Ukraine

Polskie Radio reports.

In addition, Poland can become a regional center of drone innovation.

The publication notes that the idea of creating such a location was discussed in Warsaw on July 26 by interested representatives of Poland, Ukraine, and the United States at the Warsaw Drone Summit conference.

It was held with the support of the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine and the Embassy of Ukraine in Poland.

The concept of a drone valley was introduced by former CIA counterterrorism director Bernard Hudson, who works in conflict zones.

As he emphasized, russia's invasion of Ukraine showed the vital role of unmanned aerial vehicles on the battlefield.

Therefore, Valley of Drones, located in Poland, can become a regional drone technology and innovation center.

We will remind you that the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine launched a large-scale project, the Army of Drones, in July.

So far, more than half a billion hryvnias have already been collected for high-precision multicopters.

The head of the American company Chenope, Elizabeth Charnock, who also works in Ukraine and Poland and is a co-organizer of the conference, emphasized that it was not only about drones but also software, image recognition technologies, integration of data from various sensors, and programs for their development.

It should be noted that in mid-July, a fundraising campaign for Polish-made Warmate kamikaze drones for Ukraine began in Poland.

Also, Poland collected the entire amount for the Bayraktar combat drone for Ukraine, 22.5 million zlotys.
