State Food and Consumer Service lists non-recommended beaches for swimming

Kyiv's State Food and Consumer Service conducted sanitary and microbiological studies of the city's reservoirs and published a list of non-recommended beaches for visiting.

The following were included in the list: "Venetsia", "Veselka", "Dytiachyi", "Zolotyi", "Molodizhnyi", "Peredmistna Slobidka", "Raiduga", "Telbin", "Tsentralnyi", "Troieshchyna", "Chortoryi", "Galernyi", "Verbnyi", "Pushcha Vodytsia". These also are in the resting places of "Bila", "Natalka", "Verkhnia", "Syneozerna", "Goluba", "Redchyna".

The studied water samples don't meet the requirements of the Hygienic standards of water quality of water bodies to meet the drinking, household, and other needs of the residents.

Previously, Oleg Ruban, Head of the Main Department of the State Food and Consumer Service in Kyiv, said that bathing in water that doesn't meet sanitary standards can cause various diseases: from fungal to infectious.
