In Kirovohrad region, casualties reported following series of Russian missile strikes
A military airfield and one of the railway infrastructure facilities in Kirovohrad region were damaged in the latest Russian missile strikes. The number of those killed and injured in the attack is yet to be reported.
That's according to the head of Kirovohrad Regional Military Administration, Andriy Raikovych.
"This morning saw enemy strikes… Infrastructural facilities outside the regional center's city limits were targeted. In particular, it was the Kanatove military airfield and one of the facilities of Ukrzaliznytsia railway operator. Casualties are reported," the statement says.
According to the administration chief, the Russians hit the region with 13 missiles (eight Kalibr sea-based cruise missiles and five Kh-22 missiles launched by the TU-22M3 bombers).
Rescue teams and bomb squads are working at the scene.
Raikovych also reported that power supplies are down in part of one of the regional center Kropyvnytskyi's districts. The regional power supplier's emergency teams have scrambled to tackle the blackout.
