Czech and Austrian foreign ministers visit Kyiv

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, Jan Lipavský, and the Foreign Minister of Austria, Alexander Schallenberg, came to Kyiv

Lipavský announced this event on Twitter, posting a video from the station.

"I came to Kyiv. We are going together with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Austria, Alexander Shallenberg.

For the first time in a long time, I saw our colleagues from the Ukrainian embassy again," he wrote in the message.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic also noted that he has several planned meetings with Ukrainian officials.

"Glad to finally be back in Ukraine with my dear colleague Jan Lipavský. Devastating to see what Russia's brutal war of aggression has been doing to this beautiful country and its people. We will continue to stand with Ukraine," Alexander Schallenberg stressed in his Twitter.

Earlier, the Czech foreign minister reported that at the Foreign Affairs Council, he supported the increase of the EU military aid to Ukraine, funded by the European Peace Facility, to €2.5 billion. "Comprehensive support for Ukraine in its fight against Russian aggression is a Czech presidency priority," he said.

We will remind you that the Czech Republic took over the presidency of the Council of the EU from France on July 1 and now has a unique coordinating role for decisions at the level of the European Union. The Czech presidency listed issues related to Ukraine as the first in its list of priorities.

The other day, Lipavský said that in connection with russia's aggression against Ukraine, Brussels needs a new long-term strategy for relations with Moscow.
