Verkhovna Rada to create commission to monitor international assistance

The Verkhovna Rada created the TIC to monitor the receipt and use of international material and technical aid during martial law

As noted, the commission will be headed by Holos deputy Rustem Umyerov.

Bill No. 7563 was adopted on July 19. 314 people's deputies voted in favor.

The TIC will include 15 people's deputies, the vast majority from the Sluha Narodu faction.

The commission should prepare and submit to the Council for consideration legislative initiatives to create a parliamentary control model over the use of military aid transferred by allies.

Also, the commission should collect information for holding parliamentary hearings on cases of improper or non-targeted transportation. It will also include the distribution or use of international aid — primarily the weapons that the Allies transfer for the war against russia.

The President's Office Head, Andriy Yermak, suggested creating such a commission.

She stated that if the funds of American taxpayers are spent in Ukraine, "then we must be sure that these funds go to those guys who are fighting in your country."

This narrative intersects with russian propaganda, which claims that Western weapons Ukraine receives are later resold to other countries, particularly to the East.

The US State Department claims that Washington monitors the use of American weapons in Ukraine.

The Center for Combating Disinformation emphasized that such statements are spread to discredit the Armed Forces and disrupt the supply of weapons to Ukraine. However, the propaganda does not provide any evidence of this.
