In Mykolaiv, russian rockets hit the two largest universities.

Vitalii Kim, the head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, announced this on Twitter.

"Today russia-terrorist attacked two biggest universities in Mykolayiv. At least ten missiles. Now they attack our education. I'm asking universities of all democratic countries to claim russia what it really is—the Terrorist," the governor wrote.

Mykolaiv has been under russia's missile attacks almost every day. As Rubryka reported, yesterday's morning in Mykolaiv began with shelling. ruscists again targeted several civilian objects in the city. Several shops, a hotel, and residential buildings were damaged. Rescuers and emergency teams worked at the scene afterward, the city's mayor Oleksandr Sienkevych wrote.

A rocket strike damaged the Mykolaiv Hotel; the shopping center building opposite was damaged by debris. The shelling damaged two educational institutions and objects of transport infrastructure. The Mykolaiv Regional State Administration reports russians fired nine missiles from the S-300 air defense system at the regional center.

Due to the morning shelling, one person was killed, and another was wounded, Anna Zamazeieva, the head of the Mykolaiv Assembly on Humanitarian Affairs, reported.

The mayor of Mykolaiv, Oleksandr Sienkevych, showed the consequences of yesterday's attacks on schools in Mykolaiv. In one school, a part of the building was destroyed; in another, the shelling broke windows and doors, roof and facade were damaged. 

Another consequence of the shelling of Mykolaiv this morning: 14 high-rise buildings (windows, doors, balconies) and three private houses (windows and roofs) were damaged in one district alone, the mayor of the city, Oleksandr Sienkevych, said.

During the shelling of Mykolaiv, 18 trolleybuses were damaged, 16 of which were purchased only last year. Transport is promised to be restored as soon as possible.

Since russia began its invasion, it has consistently targeted civilians and critical infrastructure. The death toll isn't certain because government officials, UN representatives, and other services responsible for counting the victims don't always have access to locations where people were killed due to hostilities. In an address to Luxembourg's parliament, President Volodymyr Zelensky said "at least tens of thousands" of Ukrainian civilians have died. In Mariupol alone, Ukrainian officials report more than 21,000 civilians dead.

As of the morning of July 15, 2022, more than 1,009 children were injured in Ukraine by the actions of the russian army. According to official information, 352 children died, and more than 657 were severely wounded.
