Zelensky addressed the Hague conference participants regarding russia's responsibility for crimes in Ukraine
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the participants of the conference in The Hague about the responsibility of the russian federation for crimes in Ukraine
Rubryka informs about it, referring to the President's Telegram and the Telegram of the OPU.
As Zelensky noted, the conference's goal is to save international law.
"Because, right now, it depends on our joint efforts whether humanity will have such a tool as international law.
Will humanity live in chaos and constant violence from those who believe that force solves everything and that aggression allows us to disguise any wishes of tyrants as law?" the Ukrainian president emphasized.
The head of the country also emphasized that it is not enough to punish the guilty to restore justice.
"It is necessary not only to punish the guilty to ensure the feeling that justice is restored. It is necessary to give full assistance to the victims of crimes and to rebuild everything destroyed as a result of aggression.
The aggressor must lose both on the battlefield and at the level of meaning so that the war becomes a heavy loss primarily for the aggressor, not the victims," Zelensky added.
