Kyiv residents are advised to close the windows and doors tightly due to the smell of burning
On Monday, July 11, the smell of burning is felt in Kyiv from the early morning.
It was reported by the State Emergency Service in Telegram and the Kyiv City Council with reference to the data of the Department of Ecology and Natural Resources.
According to the rescuers, there are no serious fires in the capital today, but in the north of the region, in Nova Greblya of the Borodyansk ATC, peatlands are smoldering. The Service advised residents of Kyiv to close windows and doors tightly.
"The wind carries the smell of smoke towards the capital. Air parameters are within normal limits," the State Emergency Service noted.
According to the Kyiv City Council, as of 8:00 a.m., a low level of air pollution was recorded on the left bank of Kyiv, and an average level on the right bank.
"Given the state of the air on the right bank, people with health problems may feel slight discomfort. Such groups of the population are advised to temporarily limit their walks. In general, there is no threat to health," the Kyiv City Council noted.
