russian invaders attempt to gain foothold in Lysychansk
Russian troops are attempting to gain a foothold in two positions in Lysychansk, opening fire on the city and its outskirts with artillery.
The relevant statement was made by Luhansk Regional Military Administration Head Serhii Haidai on Facebook.
"[Russian] occupiers have probably thrown all their forces at Lysychansk. They attacked the city using an inexplicably brutal tactics. In Sievierodonetsk, after a month of street fighting, some houses and administrative buildings remained intact. Meanwhile, in Lysychansk, such administrative buildings were destroyed completely in a very short time. There are many Russians and many weapons they are using," Haidai wrote.
This is despite the fact that several enemy ammunition depots have been destroyed. According to regional authorities, Russian invaders suffer significant losses but keep advancing. They are gaining a foothold in Lysychansk and Verkhniokamianka, and continue to ruin settlements.
Yesterday, rescuers were extinguishing fire in apartment blocks, detached houses, store and shopping mall. A woman was injured in Russia's shelling and taken to hospital in Dnipropetrovsk Region.
In addition, Russian invaders opened fire on Zolotarivka and Bilohorivka. Ukrainian defenders repulsed an enemy offensive near Bilohorivka.
