russia launches missile attack on Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi district with 19 civilian deaths

There are 19 victims of the russian missile attack on Serhiivka, Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi District, Odesa Region.

The State Service for Emergency Situations reports this on Telegram.

"We are working in Serhiivka, in the Odesa region. Here, the ruscists launched a rocket attack at night on a residential building and a recreation center where civilians were staying. Rescuers have been working on the site since nightfall. At the moment, we know of 19 dead and 38 injured, including six children," said Serhii Kruk, head of the State Emergency Service.

According to him, interaction with all services and the military administration is organized. Psychologists of the State Emergency Service work on the scene.

The State Emergency Service called on people not to ignore air warning signals and go to the shelter.

As of 6:00 a.m., as a result of the impact on the high-rise building, as Serhii Bratchuk, Odesa regional military administration spokesman, says, there were 14 dead and 30 injured, including three children. At 11:13, Suspilne, referring to the State Emergency Service, reported that rescuers had completed the search for bodies in a high-rise building in Serhiivka, and pets were currently staying in the apartments.

As of 08:39, 16 people have died, including three children. Thirty-one people were hospitalized. Seven people (including three children) were rescued from the rubble by the State Emergency Service units. Works are ongoing.

On the night of July 1, russian invaders hit the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi district of the Odesa region with three Kh-22 missiles. Around 01:00, the resort village of Serhiivka came under rocket fire. The missile attack was carried out by strategic aircraft from the direction of the Black Sea. One rocket hit a 9-story residential building; the second hit a recreation center. In the apartment building, one entrance of 9 floors was destroyed.

As a result of the second rocket strike, a three-story and a four-story building of the recreation center was partially destroyed, as a result of which two people were killed (including one child), and one person was injured. Work at the sites of missile strikes continues.

Based on this fact, the Security Service of Ukraine started proceedings under Part 2 of Art. 438 (violation of the laws and customs of war) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
