One hundred people more could have died in Kremenchuk: a photo from the Kredmash plant, where first missile struck

Two missiles hit Kremenchuk yesterday. One hit the Amstor shopping center, and the other hit the Kredmash plant. The missile hit the plant 30 seconds before the mall. The press was allowed to visit the plant. Rubryka's reporter spoke with Oleh Lednik, the head of the Kremenchuk CMA, and Mykola Danyleyko, the company supervisory board chairman.

Kredmash is the Kremenchuk road machinery plant. On June 27, a russian missile hit it, and in half a minute, another missile had already arrived at the Amstor shopping center. The tragedy at the plant itself was avoided, despite significant damage. All thanks to the hot weather. 

"The explosion was at 3:43 p.m. The missile hit the road machinery shop. With an interval of about 30 seconds, another missile hit the next target — an object of civilian infrastructure, the shopping center Amstor," said Oleh Lednik, the Kremenchuk district head of the military administration.

Yesterday one hundred people worked in the shop where the enemy missile struck. The victims were avoided because the people had finished their shift earlier. "Their shift ended, and they went home. It is hot now, and the workers come and leave earlier," explains Mykola Danyleiko, company supervisory board chairman.

In total, the plant has 1,820 employees. Today only 500 are working. They are distributed among the shops. Fortunately, the shop, which was hit by an enemy missile yesterday, was empty then.

However, there are victims at the plant. Two people are wounded — they have shrapnel wounds, and one man has a concussion. He was on duty at Amstor side and suffered a concussion. Yesterday everything seemed okay, and then my head started to hurt. He was hospitalized, and it turned out to be a concussion. He was shocked," Oleh Lednik said in a comment for Rubryka.

Mixtures for road construction and cans of mineral powder were stored in the damaged shop.
