Ukraine’s intelligence informs of increased russia’s military presence in belarus

This was reported by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

According to the intelligence, the leadership of institutions and organizations of the Gomel region warned about the possibility of the return of units of the russian armed forces.

At the same time, the russians plan to increase the number of operational and tactical aircraft in Belarus, intelligence sources add.

The agency stressed that officially an increase in the number is needed for joint air patrols within the joint training and combat training center for aviation units and air defense units.

According to intelligence, 10 planes are scheduled to fly to Baranovichi airport.

Mobilization exercises have also been going on in the Gomel region since June 22.

But, as intelligence officers point out, the announced combat training classes with reservists are not being held.

The reservists themselves are currently being used for economic work, Ukraine's intelligence added.
