The leaders of France, Germany, and Italy arrived in Irpin to see for themselves the traces left by the russian army

Rubryka reports, referring to BFM TV.

Emmanuel Macron, Olaf Scholz, and Mario Draghi, surrounded by several teams of security guards, military, and journalists, walked the city streets.

We should note that 75% of Irpin's buildings were damaged due to the invasion of russian troops.

Romanian President Klaus Iohannis, who arrived in Kyiv separately, joined the trio of European leaders.

The leaders are accompanied by the Minister of Community and Territorial Development, Oleksii Chernyshov.

At the beginning of his visit, the German Chancellor assured Ukraine of his continued full support in the fight against the russian attack.

As reported by Rubryka, French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, and Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi arrived in Kyiv by train.

Uncertainty about the leaders' visit persisted until recently.

On the evening of June 15, Western media reported, citing sources, that Macron, Scholz, and Draghi still plan to travel to Kyiv together on Thursday to show support for Ukraine and discuss its application for EU membership.

Macron's and Scholz's trip could mean a change in their rhetoric about russia's invasion of Ukraine. Both leaders have been criticized for calling putin, blocking military aid, and more.

The purpose of the trip is to meet with President Volodymyr Zelensky and show support for Ukraine and discuss its application for EU membership.
