EU, Egypt and Israel signed trilateral memorandum on natural gas exports

EU-Egypt-Israel trilateral memorandum on natural gas exports to Europe was signed in Cairo on Wednesday

It was reported on the website of the European Commission, EP writes.

It is noted that natural gas from Israel, Egypt, and other sources in the Eastern Mediterranean region will be supplied to Europe through Egypt's liquefied gas export infrastructure.

"The parties will work together to ensure a stable supply of natural gas in a way that meets the long-term goals of decarbonization based on market prices," the statement said.

It is also reported that the European Union and Egypt have agreed to cooperate in renewable energy, hydrogen, and energy efficiency fields.

In addition, the European Union and Egypt will develop a Mediterranean Hydrogen Partnership to promote investment in renewable electricity generation. As well as to strengthen and expand electricity networks, including trans-Mediterranean interconnectors, renewable energy, and low-carbon hydrogen.

And the construction of storage, transportation, and distribution infrastructure.

It is worth reminding that Ukraine has offered the United States an agreement on the liquefied natural gas supply under a lend-lease scheme.

As reported by Rubryka, in May, the United States approved a lend-lease bill, which allows more efficient sending of weapons, ammunition, and equipment to Ukraine.
