People need to know the truth: Zelensky explained why real losses among Ukrainian defenders were revealed

Both Ukrainians and all other people in the world who are watching the war waged by russia must understand the price our society pays every day at the front
President Volodymyr Zelensky spoke about this during an interview with Die Zeit.
He stressed that this is why the authorities spoke in May about the loss levels among Ukrainian defenders.
"People need to know the truth. It's a reflection of what kind of war russia is waging to destroy us," he said.
Asked by a journalist whether the president was afraid of losing the citizens' trust after the announcement of such figures, he said:
"Don't worry. We are strong. And I also want the West to know how we feel when we repeatedly see the transfer of necessary defense weapons being delayed.
If we had all the modern weapons we asked our partners for — we could have saved many lives … We are not asking for more than we need to defend freedom. "
"The price of resistance is incredibly high. <…> We need the victory. There can be no middle ground in the war for independence and against terror. After the massacres, rapes, tortures, and deportations of hundreds of thousands of people, we must do everything to protect our people and our country," Zelensky emphasized.
It is worth reminding that earlier Ukrainian defense minister Oleksii Reznikov reported that daily, up to 100 Ukrainian soldiers are killed and 500 wounded.
