German sister city donated 152 thousand dollars to Chernihiv

From the German city of Memmingen, which is twinned with Chernigov, 152 thousand dollars were received, which are used to purchase a cleaning machine.

"Chernihiv will finance the purchase of a cleaning machine. The German city of Memmingen collected 152 thousand dollars, and the rest – UAH 4 million 274 thousand – will be allocated from the city budget, of which UAH 2 million 741 thousand are funds from individuals who wanted to help the city and transferred money to the account of the municipality," the statement said.
The city is actively restoring the contact network for the passage of trolleybuses. Eight million hryvnias will be allocated for this. A significant part of the amount is a charitable contribution, a smaller part is from the city budget. Of the 110 km of lines, 45 km were damaged as a result of active hostilities.
Chernihiv mayor Vladislav Atroshenko thanked everyone who decided to support Chernihiv by sending from 10 pounds to several million hryvnias. Funds are received in a targeted manner, in separate directions, at the request of the sender.
In the Chernihiv region, Russian soldiers damaged or destroyed about 3.5 thousand buildings, 80% of which are housing.
Since February 24, Russian armed aggression has continued in Ukraine.
