President's office responded to the Netherlands' remarks on Ukraine's candidate status

Ukraine has paid a terrible price to gain the EU candidate status and a chance to join the European family.
It was stated by the Head of the President's Office adviser, Mykhailo Podoliak.
"Freedom, competition, human rights — the Netherlands has always been a model of democracy. Today, Ukrainians pay a terrible price for defending a free Europe from russian camps. Have our people paid enough blood to get a chance to be in the EU family?" he said.

It should be reminded that Bloomberg reported the day before that Denmark and the Netherlands do not support granting Ukraine the EU candidate status in June.
At the same time, the European Commission will recommend giving this status to Ukraine, but there may be some conditions.
