British defense minister arrived in Kyiv for talks with Zelensky and Reznikov

The British Minister of Defense Ben Wallace arrived in Kyiv to hold talks with President Volodymyr Zelensky and Minister Oleksii Reznikov on further weapons supplies.

Zelensky stated this on his Facebook page.

"Weapons, finances, and sanctions are three things in which the UK has consistently shown its leadership in support of Ukraine. We appreciate this real, united work where words and communication always become action. I am grateful to Defense Minister Ben Wallace and his team for this visit, as well as the UK in general, the government, the Prime Minister (Boris Johnson – ed.) for help," Zelensky said.

In addition to Reznikov and Zelensky, the meeting was also attended by the Minister of Internal Affairs, Denys Monastyrsky, and the Head of the President's Office, Andrii Yermak.

Minister Wallace said that the history of Ukraine and Great Britain have much in common. Today the Ukrainians, like the British during World War II, are fighting the fascist regime, which has a numerical advantage. Meanwhile, the enemy is on the verge of collapse thanks to courageous and wise tactics of the Ukrainian troops. He assured that Ukraine, like Britain, never gives up whatever the difficulties.

At the end of the meeting, Zelensky presented Minister Wallace with a signed copy of the military stamp "Russian Warship Done."
